Season 9 introduces Fortune Chests, valuable chests that can only be found inside a conquered Fortune Fortress. Players who beat the challenge of finding one will be able to obtain it as part of the new Fortune Fate ship set. The epitome of the ultimate treasure hunter, the line of Fortune Destinations cosmetics will continue to expand in future updates, and Fortune Chests will travel around the world to be obtained in a variety of ways.
Additionally, Season 9 introduces several updates to enhance the experience at sea. Players can look forward to updates to World Events, making events like the Kraken and Megalodon more common, and scaling these events more effectively to accommodate different crew sizes. Doublons can now be spent on new Pirate Legend-exclusive voyages, and ship captains will receive an expanded Captain’s Journal with detailed accounts of their most recent adventures.
